Transelectrica SA is the first state-owned company listed to the Bucharest Stock Exchange from the programme "A Powerful Market" that the Romanian Government has initiated in order to float some public companies on the capital market.
The initial public offer provided for sale a number of 7,329,787 new shares against 16.8 RON apiece. The subscription took place on June 14th-28th, 2006 and the offer enjoyed a particular success- it was super-subscribed 6.46 times overall.
The General Shareholders Assembly approved the increase of the share capital that was registered with the Office of the Commercial Register. The National Securities Commission also issued the registration certificate of the movable assets.
Beginning with August 29th, 2006 Transelectrica’s shares are traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange under category I and symbol TEL.
The listing to the Bucharest Stock Exchange is the first moment of the long-term relationship to the Company’s shareholders. Transelectrica will provide equal access for all shareholders regardless of their size to accurate, correct and sufficient information made public in due time according to the legal reporting requirements regarding the Company’s operational and financial activity.
Transelectrica will also comply with the legal printing terms of financial results.
All information required by investors and shareholders according to the applicable legislation and regulations will be sent to the institutions of the capital market- National Securities Commission and Bucharest Stock Exchange- and will be published on this site.
