The director general of Transelectrica, Mr. Stelian Alexandru Gal participated to the bilateral meeting of companies Ukrenergo and Transelectrica during February 24th - 25th, 2011 in Kiev, Ukraine. The meeting agenda of the bilateral meeting in Kiev has included: the possible commissioning of the 750 kV OHL Pivdenna - Isaccea; continuing the study on the power systems from Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova in the light of ENTSO-E specifications and interconnection requirements; exchange of data on the cross-border power trade.
Energy is an important subject from the discussion agenda between Romania and Ukraine. On the occasion of the bilateral meeting between Transelectrica and Ukrenergo organised in Kiev, we have shown our support to put in practice the project of power infrastructure that have priority both in Romania and in Ukraine, mentioning the role of Transelectrica in integrating Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova into the interconnected European system, as leader of the TSO consortium that will carry out all the studies needed for the synchronous connection of these two countries, said Mr. Stelian Alexandru Gal, director general of Transelectrica.
Transelectrica is Romania?s transmission and system operator that manages, operates, maintains and develops the transmission grid comprising 78 transformer electric substations of about 35,000 MVA and 9,028 km of overhead lines at 110/220 kV, 400 kV and 750 kV managed by 8 transmission branches.
