Transelectrica, membru fondator al Coordinated Auction Office Ltd. - CAO - in sud-estul Europei
In data de 25 aprilie 2012, au fost finalizate negocierile privind infiintarea Coordinated Auction Office Ltd. - CAO in sud-estul Europei, Transelectrica fiind inca de la inceput, unul din principalii sustinatori ai proiectului. CAO este un proiect regional initiat de Comisia Europeana, actualmente coordonat de Comisia Europeana si de Comunitatea Energetica a statelor din sud-estul Europei, avand drept scop alocarea coordonata a capacitatii de transport pe liniile de interconexiune intre sistemele electroenergetice din regiune. Locatia centrului a fost stabilita la Podgorita (Muntenegru), intrarea in efectivitate a centrului fiind preconizata pentru jumatatea anului 2013. Coordinated Auction Office Ltd. - CAO este constituit pentru regiunea Sud-Est Europeana din care fac parte operatorii de retea din Albania, Croatia, Bosnia si Hertegovina, Fosta Republica Iugoslava a Macedoniei, Grecia, Muntenegru, Romania, Slovenia si Kosovo. Prin participarea la acest proiect, Transelectrica face un pas important in implementarea reglementarilor europene in domeniul energiei privind integrarea regionala ca o prima etapa in organizarea pietei unice europene de energie electrica , a declarat domnul Octavian Lohan, director general Transelectrica. Transelectrica este Operatorul de Transport si de Sistem din Romania, care gestioneaza, opereaza, intretine, modernizeaza si dezvolta reteaua de transport care cuprinde 78 statii electrice de tranformare, cu o capacitate de circa 35.000 MVA, si 9.028 km de linii electrice aeriene de 110/220, 400kV si 750 kV, aflate in gestiunea a 8 sucursale de transport.
