1890, Cluj: The Gas Society had planned to introduce electric street lighting in 1901.
1893, Galati: The Gas and Electricity Exploitation Society was set up.
1895, Bacau: The first usage of electricity.
1896, Craiova: The Central Electric Station and the public lighting network were commissioned.
1896, Sibiu: The "Electrica" plant started the production for the "Sadu I" hydropower plant.
1898, Sinaia: The "Sinaia I" Hydropower plant (4x250 kW), commissioned in 1898 is still working today.
