Membership in the new Supervisory Board of Transelectrica SA
Transelectrica is Romania's Transmission and System Operator that manages, operates, maintains, upgrades and develops the transmission network comprising 80 electric transformer substations of 35,000 MVA as well as 9,028 km of overhead electric lines at 110/220 kV, 400 kV and 750 kV, managed by 8 transmission branches.
At the AGA reunion of 30.05.2013 the new members in the Supervisory Board of the National Power Grid Company Transelectrica SA were elected in accordance with the provisions of GEO 109/2011 regarding corporate governance of public enterprises. Five of the Supervisory Board members are representative of the majority shareholder the Romanian State through the Ministry of Public Finance:
1. Ovidiu Petrisor Artopolescu,
2. Ion Toni Teau,
3. Stefan Doru Bucataru,
4. Dan Sandu,
5. Ciprian Gheorghe Diaconu;
The shareholders' representatives in the new Supervisory Board of Transelectrica are:
1. Radu Bugica,
2. Andrei Pogonaru;
Transelectrica is the National Power Grid Company that initiated the recruitment and selection process for Supervisory Board members according to GEO 109/2011. The Ministry of Public Finance, in its capacity of coordinating public authority has performed and finalised the administrators recruitment and selection with a view to implement the provisions of the Governmental Emergency Ordinance 109/2011 regarding corporate governance of public enterprises. The association consisting of Co. Quest Advisors Ltd and Co. Transearch International Ltd provided assistance to this process. Following publication of the announcement for member recruitment and selection in the Supervisory Board 63 applications were received, of which a short list with 20 candidates proposed by the Romanian State shareholder through the Ministry of Public Finance was drawn up.
